BEST SALON REPORT reporter
salon recruitment website SALONAGwriter
I have been working for Best Salon Report as a reporter since 2013. I also started involving myself in a salon recruitment website from 2014, and I have interviewed more than 1000 salons so far.
I have established many connections with hairstylists and got some knowledge of beauty industry; however, I knew nothing about this field when I first started my career as a reporter. I even didn’t like visiting hair salons. But the following experience completely changed my perception.
I was living in Kansai area at that time and having a hard time to find the right salon for me. One day, one of my friends recommended me a famous hair salon in Kyoto, and I decided to visit.
When I stepped in the salon, the stylists greeted me in a pleasant manner. At the same time, it was impressive that they looked very serious about their profession.
The conversation I had with my stylist was very natural and comfortable. She really didn’t act like a “hairdresser,” and I felt like I was just talking to my close relative. She was very friendly and stylish, and her service was very polite as well. She carefully explained each process and informed me the price update every time I asked for additional service.
I used to feel nervous every time I visited a salon, wondering if stylists were making fun of my fashion behind my back. However, I was very comfortable at this salon because of its transparent and professional atmosphere.
While I was enjoying the service, I saw the photo album of their overseas training. The stylists, who looked very young in the album, seemed to be struggling in a different country.
I could see their training backgrounds from the photos, which also proved their high techniques. So I felt very relieved to receive the service from them.
I was fully satisfied with my new look after the service. The other stylists also came to me and gave me compliments. This experience made me feel like I was welcomed not only by the stylist who was in charge of me, but also by the entire salon. After this amazing experience, I decided to keep visiting this salon.
