This salon's strong points.

Person to Person

Going to a salon can be quite nerve wracking at first, whether you're introverted or extroverted. The pressure of communicating what style you want as well as being nervous about the final results, trying out a new salon is nothing short of a difficult task. However at Mu-Kichi, this salon really understands these fears and so they focus on accommodating new customers by making the entire process from counseling to shampooing, treatment and finishing a one-on-one. Right away you are paired with your stylist and they will help you through each step. Mu-Kichi embraces the fact that behind a customer and staff, is a person and person situation. The stylist really gets to know each customer and this way can best serve and create the best results for every individual.

Technology and Techniques

Cute shampoo area!

If you haven't heard of the popular 'Nano Steam' treatments in Japan, get ready. This process helps follicles open up gently, increasing penetration of dyes and perm solutions in a safe and natural way, as well as opening follicles to receive hair care treatments used during the process as well. The variety of natural hair care treatments here is great, and is highly-popular among the customers due to its effectiveness as well as the reasonable prices. Lay back and relax during the steam treatments, as the warm feeling gently sinks into your scalp.

Gentle, Soft and Relaxed

A soft and eclectic atmosphere that's clean and casual!

This salon focuses on soft, gentle and natural styles and vibes. Many salons find their niche in high-fashion cuts and only the latest trends here in Tokyo, leaving many customers feeling out of place. However Mu-Kichi has risen in popularity among customers looking for high-quality cuts but more simple styles. The natural styles, low-pressure environment and relaxing treatments really let you escape Tokyo for a moment while you're getting an outstanding cut.

My Review

Mu-Kichi's simple designs and pleasant atmosphere can put anyone's worries to rest. The one-on-one process is quite nice and I loved the conversations I had with my stylists. After interviewing the owner, I loved when they said, "Hairdressers and customers should be able to become closer, and then hairdressers can work harder to hear the customers words." I felt this when I was able to air my questions and concerns without a shoulder and elbow. This is definitely a salon that anyone would love to experience.
