SAPPORO: the BURROW

This salon's strong points.

New Salon, Veteran Owner

The stylish interior is very modern with many distressed accents.
This recently opened salon in the Odori area has been a hot topic in the area and is making a big impact in the salon industry. The owner, an up-and-coming hairdresser from Tokyo, has won numerous awards and and has been recognized by many organizations on TV, in magazines and also teaches lectures on styling and hair design. Now, at BURROW he has taken his expertise and created a trendy and fashion forward salon, up-to-date on latest trends and techniques to bring customers the best services possible. His salon is well rounded and relaxing. If you're looking for a cool salon, this might be it.
Bobs and Basics

A mix of trendy Japanese styles, and fundamentals from British salons.
The strength here is cutting bobs, which is one of the most popular trends right now in Japan. Short cuts really slim the face, and are also easy to deal with when you have a busy schedule. With dry and wet cutting techniques, details are carefully considered while balancing weight and creating shapes and forms. The goal is creating a cut that sits well on the head and face, and doesn't require styling to look nice. The basics here are mastered and refined, BURROW's stylists really just focus on creating a look rather than a nice cut.
Professional Color

Colors that make a big impact without a blow to hair quality.
An indispensable part of the staff is Yoshikatsu Suzuki, who is an amazing and respected colorist. His career bloomed after competing in a nationwide competition where he was awarded as a top 10 color specialist. BURROW is able to focus on coloring due to Suzuki who creates amazing color stories with dimension and flow. This has been a huge draw to BURROW, and if you're looking for an interesting color this is where you should try first! You'll be able to get anything done at this wonderful salon.
Stylist Interview
I interviewed with each stylist at each salon.
I am sure you will find a perfect stylist for you.

After gaining experience in Tokyo, Shingo came to Sapporo and opened BURROW. He's a very friendly and fashionable guy, and has a great relationship with his customers.

Suzuki is an experienced stylist, and him and Shingo have a good relationship for a reason. He has gained a lot of followers and you should put your trust in him when you're going in for a new color. He's very talented.

Hoshi of course does a lot of salon work, but in addition to that also shoots advertisements and is involved in the make up industry. I think with her expertise, you can trust her to propose a style for you that will really match your image and overall vibe.
