MEIKA's owner is a renowned beautician, winning awards in many different contests hosted by an array of different beauty companies. Preferring to do the bulk of cuts using just scissors, this salon leaves the right amount of body and volume for an easy-to-style cut while still catering to individual hair needs or concerns. Because of this, many busy women prefer this salon to give them a natural look that won't take up too much precious time to style every morning.

Hair Treatments and Preventing Damage

Once hair is damaged, it cannot return to it's original state no matter what treatment is used. So at MEIKA, preventing damage from the beginning during coloring and perms is the top priority. Offering different treatments during the coloring process and afterwards customers are surprised and the quality of their hair, even after time passes from the coloring. These treatments protect hair from the dangers of the coloring process and this fact keeps many customers returning for regular appointments at MEIKA.

What is your favorite style?
I'm good at everything, but my goal is to create a style that excites the customers. I focus hard during counseling to grasp what the customer is really looking for beyond just words, and also try and suggest a style that can really fit the persons atmosphere.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I'm addicted to the gym! I go about 5 or 6 times a week through weight training as well as aerobic exercise, as well as Yoga to keep my flexibility up. I also like eating healthy, and also enjoying simple things like fashion.
Is there anything you would like to say to the customers?
My goal is to create a partnership with each customer. We hope this can be your style partner and help you find yourself through beauty! The small things in life are what matter.
My Viewpoint

Kotaka has received numerous rewards from different contests and has appeared on TV, magazines, radio, etc. Despite having such strong skills, it's easy to forget this when you encounter his easy-going and playful personality. What is your favorite style?
I can do anything, but my favorites are shorter hair styles. I also love to dye hair and create color stories, so please let me know if you're looking for a little change!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I like staying active and sweating a little, so I go to the gym about 3 or 4 times a week. I also enjoy going to hot springs and saunas.
Is there anything you would like to say to the customers?
If you have a specific image in mind that you've found on the internet, please feel free to bring any pictures. We will find out how to create a unique design that will match you!

What is your favorite style?
I'm great at short styles as they are my favorite! After consulting and figuring out what direction we are moving in, we will narrow out the details and through some suggestions from me, or the staff we can create a design!
What do you like to do outside of work?
My hobbies are swimming, Shogi, and fishing! I've been doing these since elementary school with my friends, although recently I've been playing a lot of Shogi on the internet!
Is there anything you would like to say to the customers?
Even if you're unsure about hair management, styling, or how to work with your own hair, we can get you to a comfortable place that fits you. We try to be stylists you can feel you can leave it all up to us and just enjoy a relaxing experience!
My Viewpoint

Ikenishi has a wonderful perspective on beauty and styling. With a lot of experience, he also lectures and works professionally with models as he continues to advance in his career. Many girls who enjoy getting edgier or a little boyish style cuts really love Ikenishi's way of creating these. If you're looking for a change and wanna go short, this might be the place for you!

What is your favorite style?
I'm good at natural styles and bobs. After examining hair quality and bone structure, we take the customers direction and try and create a nuanced individual look. Whether you're looking for cool or cute, we can do it!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I go to Yoga once a week and also enjoy running. If I'm not exercising I love to go to Yakitori and enjoy some sake! If you have any Yakitori recommendations please let me know!
Is there anything you would like to say to the customers?
I am a good listener, so even if you don't have the clearest image of what you want please just give me as much as you can and we will move forward together! I also am well-versed in make-up and skin care so if you have any questions like that please tell me!

What is your favorite style?
I can do just about anything, but I love creating low maintenance cuts that only require a blow-dryer to style.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I've been playing soccer since I was a kid, and I also stay active through snowboarding and climbing!
Is there anything you would like to say to the customers?
The more I work, the more I realize customers are worried about their hairstyle than most hairstylists realize. To resolve this I try and offer the best counseling I can give and work to understand each customers feelings before making any big decisions.
My Viewpoint

Jin is awesome with the customers who just leave it all up to him. These customers leave shocked every time feeling like they got the perfect cut! Jin really understands how hair sits on different bone structures, as well as understanding people's personalities well. You should consider just leaving it up to him!

I'm good at men's styles. I see customers of all ages, but for the most part I work with a lot of younger adults. I can create styles that are creative and flexible, and also professional styles for the work place so let me know what you need!

I like sports and keeping up general entertainment.

I think it's important to create a style that fits our life rather than just creating a flashy or fashionable look. So please feel free to speak about your life during counseling and we can find a good match.

Sakawa is very popular among the male customers and does an excellent job. His calm demeanor and strong work ethic appeals to the men customers and his easy to handle styles also fit the boys as well.

I'm a great listener so I'm good at creating the style the customer really wants by carefully taking their wishes into consideration. I also know a lot about skin care and makeup for other beauty questions or concerns.

Every year I travel abroad with my child! Last year we enjoyed visiting Mexico on Dia Los Muertos!
